The Rockets made a valiant run at it, but they were out-matched in their 3rd round section playoff game against Breck. Final score 78 – 49. Absolutely relentless ball pressure was the story of the game.
In other play-off news… there was an upset… Blake (who led our section throughout the year and was highly ranked in the state overall, but started losing games over and over towards the end of the season… never did hear why… ) LOST to Hiawatha Collegiate by 9. Aside from that your top seeds ran the table. North over Holy Family by 40… SW Christian over Jordan by 30.
Semi-finals in 5AA will be North vs SW Christian Tue 3/11 5pm at Minnehaha Academy. And I expect a blow-out in the other game but who knows… Breck vs Hiawatha Collegiate also at Minnehaha Academy at 7pm on the 11th.
