In what was an excellent Round 2 playoff game at “the Rock” Thursday night, the Rockets took down the Maranatha Christian Mustangs 82-77.
Next up for the Rockford is the “more advanced” Mustangs from Breck @ Breck, Saturday at 2pm.
Breck comes into the game 16-10 on the season ranked #5 in all of AA, and #54 across all divisions in the state. Their schedule is a who’s who of AAA and AAAA teams, only playing a handful of AA teams in the regular season. Comparable games to the Rockford schedule… Breck beat Providence by 20, and beat Holy Family by 4. But, they also beat Blake 2x this year by over 10 points each time, and they have a win over Minneapolis North by 4. This will be a challenging game. If the Rockets are on the top of their game across all facets, it is win-able.
