There is no better way to put this one, the Teddies put an ass-whoopin’ on the Rockets 84 – 51. Rockford continues to struggle to win playing without their injured premier forward. Combine that with some highly questionable officiating (not un-fair, just really really piss-poor overall) … and you get a blow-out game.
The Rockets move to 10 – 4 on the season overall, 4 – 2 in the section and 3 – 3 in the conference.
Next up are 3 games this coming week. Tuesday Rockford travels to Litchfield to take on the Dragons, not having a great season this year currently at 5 – 10 (varsity game time is 5:30p for this game). Then Friday the Wildcats from New London/Spicer come to town (game at the Rock) looking to avenge their loss earlier this season. NLS is currently 1 – 12. Varsity game-time will be 7:15p for this game. Then SATURDAY again, we have an out of conference match-up with the Cubs from the Kimball area at the Rock. Kimball is having a decent year at 7 – 5 in the old Central Minnesota Conference, coming off a big win over Eden Valley Watkins this past Friday. Kimball varsity game time is 3pm.
TENTATIVELY we also have an Alumni game setup for Saturday after the Kimball game, not sure if that is happening for sure or not at this time, but hoping so. For more information contact Nathan Maher (sorry I don’t have contact info for him, but someone in the community I’m sure does). He is on Facebook.
My apologies in advance as the pictures from Roosevelt simply are not up to my normal standard. Something in their gym was causing the camera to not focus properly (or maybe I have a problem with the camera itself… not sure yet) so there are far fewer photos and some that are a bit blurry.
